Multi-threaded IDAC processes log BI query metadata to achieve tight monitoring and control of query processes between your BI system and numerous datasources. You can actively monitor queries on a console, and cancel queries remotely. You can set up automatic monitoring and query cancellation based on thresholds.

Using Teradata Query Banding with SAP BusinessObjects

APOS IDAC makes the Teradata-SAP partnership better by automating the use of Teradata query banding.

For each query against the EDW, Teradata creates a query band, containing detailed information about the query, which can be referenced by workload management rules. Query banding is useful whenever you have business processes that issue work using pooled sessions, such as business intelligence queries. The support for query banding in SAP BusinessObjects provided by IDAC ensures complete query integration and accountability between the two systems.

Using Teradata Temporal Datatypes and Functions with SAP BusinessObjects

IDAC supports the translation of Teradata temporal datatypes and functions into SAP BusinessObjects results. Teradata temporal datatypes (such as PERIOD, which measures the duration of an event or status) are otherwise not compatible with SAP BusinessObjects reports.
