APOS Live Data Gateway - Building APOS Views

An APOS View is a semantic layer that identifies measures and dimensions for non-OLAP data sources, as such data sources do not natively indicate them. APOS Views are simple for DBAs or Analysts to build and shield end users from the need to write SQL, know how to join database tables, or understand complex data structures.

You can optimize APOS Views for maximum performance, use Database Views to include additional calculations, and use field name aliases to enhance usability. APOS Views provide a unified semantic layer for users of SAP Analytics Cloud in a hybrid scenario, and for non-SAP-BusinessObjects scenarios, they provide a semantic layer.
