APOS Publisher for Cloud Features: Enterprise Security, Permissions and Administration

APOS Publisher for Cloud provides automated broadcasting of SAP Analytics Cloud reports to targeted recipients and information consumers. The solution has various elements of core enterprise broadcasting functionality, including enterprise security, permissions and administration.

In Publisher for Cloud, data sources are a means of driving properties within the broadcasting definition dynamically. Users can now have shared and private data sources, which enables a shared, collaborative set of data sources as well as private data sources, so users are not getting access to information they should not have.

In addition, users can have shared and private broadcasting definitions. Shared broadcasting definitions can be worked on collaboratively across multiple users and groups, but you can also have your own set of private broadcasting definitions for your own user needs as well.

Using Publisher for Cloud’s security provisions, we can set up local users and groups within the Publisher for Cloud platform so users need only log in locally to their application to manage their workload and manage their broadcasting definitions. We can also apply security so you can control, using groups and folders, what access users have to certain definitions and data sources.

Enhanced administration enables the administrator to log into the administration utility and control which users and groups have access to which folders and data sources and broadcasting definitions. Administrators can also see the full list of events that are happening across your Publisher for Cloud platform, providing full tracking from an administrative perspective.

The Recycle Bin provides additional protection. If end users accidentally delete something, it appears in the recycle bin, and the administrator can log in and restore objects to the user's inbox easily.
