APOS Publisher for Cloud Features: High Availability and Failover, and Distributed and Targeted Processing

APOS Publisher for Cloud automates broadcasting of personalized SAP Analytics Cloud reports with specific timing, format, and content for each user. Publisher for Cloud provides enterprise broadcasting capabilities including scalability with distributed (and targeted) processing, high availability and failover.

More and more Publisher for Cloud customers have growing needs and unique scenarios. For example, we have customers that need high volumes of document creation to be sent out in a timely manner, and over a short period of time. We can scale up to support that with distributed processing. You can deploy two or more distributed processing servers to manage the workload of the broadcasting definition evenly across those servers, creating scalability options for processing, as well as high availability and failover. We can also set up multiple scheduling servers and replicate your APOS Publisher for Cloud database, enabling a strong high availability scenario within your platform, with redundancy and failover. If there were any failures on your servers, your content is re-routed to other servers to ensure delivery to your recipients.

If you do have two or more processing servers, targeted processing enables users to target a specific processing server. Customers may have important or critical broadcasting definitions that they need to broadcast as soon as possible, so they may target a specific processing server that may have higher RAM and CPU usage, or the target server may have specific products like Microsoft Office so the user knows they'll be able to format the reports as needed.
