Modernizing BEx Broadcaster Workflows - SAP Analytics Cloud, Analysis for Office
BEx Broadcaster Replacement in SAP Analytics Cloud
APOS Publisher for Cloud smooths the adoption of both Analysis for Office and SAP Analytics Cloud by fulfilling BEx Broadcaster workflow needs with Analysis for Office scheduling & broadcasting capabilities.
BEx Broadcaster has been an important tool for organizations using SAP Business Explorer (BEx) reports and SAP Business Warehouse (BW). It has effectively served important communication workflows over the past twenty-plus years, allowing organizations to distribute SAP BEx reports to a wide variety of users, partners and customers.
However, with the need to push content out to stakeholders continuing to be a critical requirement for many of these organizations, and with the sunsetting of BEx reports, such organizations need to deploy an alternative to BEx broadcasting as part of their digital transformation and move to S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Datasphere, and other updated technologies.
Moving to SAP Analytics Cloud
Moving BEx Broadcaster workflows to SAP Analytics Cloud would seem to be the logical choice, but this step requires conversion of BEx reports to Analysis for Office. This conversion is simple, but another problem remains: SAP Analytics Cloud does not support Analysis for Office scheduling and broadcasting.
Until now, that is, with the deployment of APOS Publisher for Cloud. These organizations can modernize their BEx Broadcaster workflows by converting them to Analysis for Office, moving them to the SAP Analytics Cloud Repository, and scheduling them with APOS Publisher for Cloud.
SAP BusinessObjects does support scheduling and broadcasting Analysis for Office reports, but many of these organizations do not use SAP BusinessObjects, and would not consider deploying it simply for its Publications capabilities. Organizations that have SAP BusinessObjects deployed are looking for ways to move their Analysis for Office workflows to SAP Analytics Cloud using APOS Publisher for Cloud, removing a significant barrier to SAP Analytics Cloud adoption.
