AGC Glass Europe
AGC Glass Europe produces, processes and distributes flat glass for the construction industry (external glazing and interior decoration), the automotive industry (OEM and replacement glass) and various other sectors (transport, solar power and high-tech applications). It is the European branch of AGC, the world’s leading producer of flat glass. It has over 100 sites throughout Europe, from Spain to Russia, and employs around 15,500 employees.
AGC’s ability to supply its market efficiently is dependent on the timely return of the reusable racks they use to ship their products. These racks are highly specialized and costly to produce, and AGC must optimize their use to prevent delivery delays. AGC uses SAP BusinessObjects as their BI and reporting engine. They needed to automate the bulk sending of personalized email messages from SAP BusinessObjects to encourage the timely return of these racks.
